"Biggie"     trooperronb@paratrooper.org Served with the Ninth I.D., "Old Reliables" from November 14, 1943 to listed M.I.A. on October 14th 1944. Recovered in the Hurtegan Forest, K.I.A, on April 13th 1945. Served with Distinction as an Engineer with the 15th Engineers Battalion Company C. With Dynamite strapped to His back and a flame thrower in hand He saved the lives of Countless Infantry soldiers in destroying German pillboxes along the Siegfried Line into the battle for Schmidt Germany. He was first laid to rest in Henri-Chappele, Belgium. Later repartition brought Him Home to Us in Winchester Ky. Awards earned include Silver Star, Purple Heart, Euro-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 bronze service star, WW2 Victory Medal and WW2 Honorable Service Lapel Button.
