Reunions To list your 9th Infantry Division unit reunion on this page email the Webmaster with your reunion information.   31st  Infantry Regiment (6/31st) Reunion  Reunion 2005 will be held 26-28 August, 2005 at the Hilton Garden Inn at Columbus, Georgia.  This is our regiment’s 89th Anniversary (13 Aug 1916).  Make your reservations before 12 August by calling 1-800-445-8667 and be sure to tell them you’re with the 31st Inf Regt Assn to get their lowest rate of $92 per night.  Shuttle to and from Columbus Airport is free (call 660-1000 when you arrive).  Location is 1500 Bradley Lakes Blvd, just off I-185 in northwest Columbus, near the airport.  Indoor pool, Jacuzzi, and gym.  Internet, 25” cable TV, refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board in each room.  6 free room nights will be raffled off.  Agenda: ·         Friday 26 Aug—register ($25) and mingle with old and new friends in the Azalea Room, meeting of the Board of Directors ·         Saturday 27 Aug—tour of Ft Benning ($35 for bus and lunch with troops) (alternative tour in Columbus historical district, river walk), socialize with friends at the Azalea Room in the evening (free drinks and munchies) ·         Sunday 28 Aug—memorial service, business meeting, and banquet ($33 per person) ·         Monday 29 Aug--departure Our thanks to LTG (Ret) Sam Wetzel, who is coordinating the event.  Sam needs help from members who live in the Columbus-Phenix City area.  Please call him (706-576-4204) and pitch in.        9th Infantry Division Association The 60th Annual Reunion of the 9th Infantry Division Association Inc., will be held Sep 23, 24, 25, 2005. Headquarters Hotel will be Crystal City Marriott Hotel in Arlington, VA.  This is the oldest of the many 9th Division Associations, and membership is limited to World War II Veterans of the Division.  We would like to invite members of 9th Division units to participate.   Reservations must be made thru the Division Association, as direct contact with the hotel will not get you the special rate we have been offered.  Contact W G Robey, President of 9th Infantry Division Association and a former 15th Engineer Battalion member.  1005 Elkhart St., Oxon Hill, MD, 20745.  Phone -toll free- 1-866-229-2377, when asked for Pin# enter 3322.  Looking forward to hearing from any former member of the 9th Division  Bill Robey, President 9th Infantry Division Association Inc. 15th Engineer Combat Battalion       Veterans Day Mini-Reunion   The Veterans Day Mini-Reunion of the Mobile Riverine Force Association (MRFA) and the 9th Infantry Division Society “Old Reliables” will be at the Ramada Inn Airport and Thunderbird Convention Center, 2201 East 78th Street, Bloomington, MN. 55425.  It is located just off  I-494 at the 24th Ave. exit;  mapquest.com has an excellent map if your driving.   Dates are Nov. 11, 12, 13 and check out the 14th.  Room rates are $69.00 per/day (up to 4 people in a room) rate.  To make reservations, call 952-854-3411 between 8:00am and 5:00pm CST.
